The 'Silver' 2p Giveaway Competition is now closed.
One winner has been notified via email so please make sure you
check your emails (and spam folder), as we need to hear back from
you by 11th July.
In the meantime we look forward to presenting the winner with
the 'Silver' 2 Pence coin and hope to be able to share some photos
with you all.
Thanks to all of you who entered our Change Checker
competion.
On Wednesday 15th June Ian Glen, Managing Director of Change
Checker, met up with the Malmesbury Branch of the
Royal British Legion to complete the purchase of
a rare 'silver' 2 pence piece - and now
you can win it.
The unusual coin was found in a collecting tin, and after
verification from The Royal Mint, has been confirmed as an
extremely sought-after minting error. Somehow an
unstruck 10p coin found its way into the presses and a 2p was
accidentally struck onto it.
Errors like this hardly ever happen due to the
strict quality control at The Royal Mint, so here at Change Checker
we knew this was an opportunity not to be missed.
We agreed to buy the coin, with all the proceeds going to the
Royal British Legion, and now we want to give the 'silver'
2p to one lucky Change Checker.
Terms & Conditions
1. All registered members of changechecker.org at midnight
on 30 June will be automatically entered into the prize draw.
No purchase is necessary to register.
2. The draw will take place on 4 July and the winner will be
notified on that day by email to their registered changechecker.org email
address.
3. The winner will receive the "silver 2p". There is no
cash alternative.
4. Participants agree to meet reasonable requests to assist
publicity.
5. The prize draw is promoted by The Westminster Collection /
Change Checker, trading divisions of 288 Group Ltd.
6. Employees of 288 Group and their families are not eligible to
enter.
