Hi all, I would like to put myself forward for change checker of the year please.
I started collecting in 2008 when I saw that the design was changing and collected both sets, I then started collecting other specials. My husband bought me an album, but it filled up too quickly and so I moved them too a case with trays. I have all the specials of the 50ps, £1s, and £2 coins, except some of this years, and managed to collect all the different years of each £1 coin design before they finished. I have got some friends, family, work colleagues and even customers interested in coins with information that they didn’t know and they have kept an eye out for coins for me. I love this hobby, and still get excited when I find a new coin in my change. My daughter loves coins too, and I hope to pass my collection to her and my son one day.

Is this another scam? like the £1 moments chance to win a coin, only 18 made the effort including myself to end up with nothing and no follow up, for shame

Hi Steve, I am a bit confused with your comments. The ‘£1 Memories’ ran across all our social media channels including our blog. 8 of the people who commented on the blog were chosen as winners. In total we rewarded 50 people with a Gold Plated Participant’s medal. So I can assure you this is not a scam. Please feel free to enter if you wish; I’m sorry you did not win a ‘£1 Memories’ prize however we had a very large number of applicants. Thanks Luke

I would like to nominate myself for this award. I have completed the full set of the round pounds in record time and have had friends, family, local co-op and my local Nationwide Building Society help search for them. I also have a complete set of the Beatrix Potter 50p coins and am now fervently collecting all other 50p coins and the £2 coins too. It is a daily challenging feat. I have at times swapped coins with other people on the swap section. I am collecting all my coins and saving them in my Change Checker Folder. I hope to eventually obtain all the coins which I shall pass on as a family heirloom. It is a very rewarding and enjoyable pastime.
