  4. Ronnie on September 4, 2019 at 6:17 pm

None of the answer are right 2016/ 2015/ 2017 all had 50p released 2009/2010/2011 are right and so far 2018 as had no 50p released

    • Rachel Hooper on September 5, 2019 at 8:26 am

Hi Ronnie, there were no Shield 50ps released in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2016. We won’t know about 2018 until the mintage figures are revealed by The Royal Mint.

  6. Chris on September 4, 2019 at 4:49 pm

  8. Susan Walters on September 4, 2019 at 4:28 pm

90% I am proud to be a NERD
I could not find the pre. 1997 coin weight so I had a guess, Wrong!

    • Alan Marshall on September 9, 2019 at 9:11 am

Seems most people got 90% my self included I got the lowest mintage one wrong. Well still a nurd. Lol for those that can’t seem to see their answers scroll down.

  9. Barry Wilshaw on September 4, 2019 at 3:10 pm

Have just taken the quiz fantastic the result came back 100 percent I have all the 50p coins and all the Olympic as well.

  10. Raymond Fuller on September 4, 2019 at 3:03 pm

question 2 should the answer be 2008 not 2011 which was shown as the anser

    • Rachel Hooper on September 5, 2019 at 8:25 am

Hi Raymond, 2008 is the correct answer. I’m not sure why 2011 came up for you as it is definitely saved as 2008.

  11. Craig on September 4, 2019 at 2:19 pm

80%, which is more then i thought it’d be. Happy with that, given I’m a lot younger then the 50p. Good bit of fun that, thanks Change Checker ?

  12. Melanie on September 4, 2019 at 2:08 pm

90% nerd ? Shame you can’t actually see your answers though

  13. Pam S on September 4, 2019 at 1:29 pm

Fun quiz. 80% so I got a couple wrong, but unable to find out which ones. Perhaps in future you could give all the correct answers so we can learn from it? Looking forward to the next one.

  14. John Redmond on September 4, 2019 at 12:57 pm

I only managed a 60% score, but that’s not bad considering my collecting has only been for a short number of years.
It was a good quiz to do and I never felt the need to check any book for an answer.

  15. Jermaine Tate on September 4, 2019 at 12:22 pm

Not flipping happy i got 80% and i thought i was a nerd ? maybe just a proud change checker then like u said ??? good fun and yeah like Ben said couldn’t see where i went wrong.. Nevermind

  16. James Thomas Fitzgerald on September 4, 2019 at 12:12 pm

Please let us se our results

    • Rachel Hooper on September 4, 2019 at 1:21 pm

Hi James, we’re trying to find a way for the results to be displayed properly as they seem to be cropped off at the moment. Really sorry for the inconvenience.

  17. Vincent Buckmaster on September 4, 2019 at 11:56 am

Got 90% but can’t find which one I got wrong but still good fun

  18. Liz T on September 4, 2019 at 11:49 am

70%, happy with that. Funny to think I’m as old as the first 50p issued ? Here’s to another 50 years of collecting ?

  19. Andrew Taylor on September 4, 2019 at 11:43 am

    Yea am a nerd 90%

  20. Jim on September 4, 2019 at 11:20 am

Nice fun quiz and pleased to get “A Numismatic Nerd” score – not surprising given that I’ve been collecting since the 60’s and remember the original large 50p replacing the ten shilling note.

    • Rachel Hooper on September 4, 2019 at 11:30 am

Congratulations Jim! Welcome to the Numismatic Nerd club!

  21. Julie Couperthwaite on September 4, 2019 at 9:24 am

I go 90% not bad for me

    • Rachel Hooper on September 4, 2019 at 10:49 am

      Well done Julie!

  22. Ben C on September 4, 2019 at 8:53 am

Nice bit of fun in the morning, 80% not too bad! Would have been good to see where I went wrong, (guesses the weight question!) I could only see the results of the first two questions at the end of the quiz. Well done though, I like this! More of the same please 🙂

    • Rachel Hooper on September 4, 2019 at 10:51 am

Great score, well done Ben! We’ll be sure to create some more quizzes to test your numismatic knowledge!

      • Mark Barraclough on September 4, 2019 at 12:25 pm

I got 100% only been collecting 50p’s since last March. All I’m missing is 2009 Kew

    • Stuart on September 5, 2019 at 2:18 am

      Only 6 / 10
The answers stop at question 2, what’s the point ?

      • Rachel Hooper on September 5, 2019 at 8:02 am

Still a good score Stuart! Really sorry that the answers aren’t showing, unfortunately we’re having issues with the third party software.

      • Rachel Hooper on September 5, 2019 at 8:37 am

We have made a change to the quiz so that hopefully your answers will now show!
