I really like the Agatha Christie £2 coin. We have had some nice author coins so far and I am enjoying the theme. Hoping the Royal Mint does Ian Fleming when Casino Royale turns 70 in 2022,

Hi, will these coins be going into circulation? I was really looking forward to the RAF £2 coins last year, but I haven’t seen any and neither have my friends who collect. There was also the Jane Austin, Wedgewood, Samuel Pepys that don’t seem to be in circulation. It’s really disappointing when such wonderful coins are designed, but not released into circulation. Really like the VE Day £2

Hi Alan, it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether the coins from the 2020 set will be entering circulation, but we’d certainly love to see them in our change as there are some fantastic designs!

  3. Harry Hawthorne on January 4, 2020 at 10:07 pm

Will there be a draw to win some coins from the set? If so how do you enter?
    Thanks, Harry

    • Rachel Hooper on January 6, 2020 at 8:29 am

Hi Harry, we are currently running a competition on our Facebook page to win the Annual coin set and the Mayflower trial £2 set.

They’d be even nicer if they were released into circulation for us proper CHANGE CHECKERS to find. Why on earth am I expected to pay more than the coin value?? Not all of us can afford to spend stupid money on 10p coin or 50p etc

  5. Cindy FULLER on January 2, 2020 at 8:15 pm

How dare you make me choose? it was so hard, they are all wonderful ?

It’s would be great start in the year 2020 by wining this(fingers crossed) and I’ve been unlucky with 50p and £2 ballot face value so hopefully it’s kick-start my year towards to my collection ?

Would have been nice to see the lettered 10p coins, haven’t seen any so far.

    • Alexandra Siddons on January 3, 2020 at 8:02 am

Keep on searching Philip! With such low mintage figures and high collector interested, these coins can be a bit tricky to find but they are out there! You never know what you’ll come across in your change 🙂

Interesting design reminds me of old Cadburys chocolate selection bar in the 1970`s.
Would be nice to see R.J. Micheal designer of the Spitfire on a 50p Coin though.
