This 50p was issued as part of a nine-coin series celebrating 95 years of A. A. Milne’s loveable children’s tale, Winnie the Pooh. Issued as the fifth coin in the series, this 50p’s design by The Walt Disney Company features an original illustration from the Winnie the Pooh storybooks by E.H. Shepard. It shows the bright, yet forgetful Owl holding his feather quill. The obverse features the fifth portrait of HM QEII by Jody Clark.
