King Charles III £5: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

To commemorate the Life of the Queen, The Royal Mint has released a new UK £5. And, in particularly interesting news for Change Checkers, the coin features the brand-new portrait of King Charles III for the first time. The coin features two portraits of Queen Elizabeth II on the reverse, with ‘ELIZABETH REGINA’ and the dates ‘1926-2022’ as inscriptions, by John Bergdahl and The Royal Mint. Facing left in line with tradition, the first definitive coinage portrait of His Majesty The King by Martin Jennings is surrounded by the inscription: CHARLES III | D | G | REX | F | D | 5 POUNDS.
