Change Checker’s Birthday Takeover at The Royal Mint Experience!

On 23^rd May 2023, Change Checker turned 10! I’m sure you’ll agree the last decade has been an incredible time for collectors. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning, or whether you’re new to collecting, we’d like to thank every single one of you for joining us along the way.

We’re celebrating our 10th anniversary with a special VIP event at The Royal Mint! We’ll be taking over The Royal Mint Experience on Saturday 23rd September 2023 and 300 lucky collectors will get to join us for the celebrations.

Where is the event?

The Royal Mint Experience is located in Ynysmaerdy, Wales, just 20 minutes away from Cardiff.

How do I get there?

It’s conveniently located just 4 miles from Junction 34 of the M4 making it easily accessible by car or coach and there’s ample, free parking at the exhibition. If you’re using a sat nav to get there, you’ll need to use the postcode CF72 8YT.

If you’re taking public transport, the closest train station is Pontyclun, which is approximately 4 miles from The Royal Mint Experience.

The closest bus stops are:

To/from Pontypridd: Parc Busnes Edwards (4 minute walk to the exhibition)
To/from Cardiff: Ely Valley Road, Ynysymaerdy Industrial Estate (12 minute walk from the exhibition)

Where can I stay?

If you’re traveling to the event and need accommodation, the nearest hotel is Premier Inn Llantrisant, a 4 minute drive away.

What time is the event?

If you’re lucky enough to secure tickets, you’ll be allocated either a morning slot (8.45am-12.15pm) or an afternoon slot (1pm-5pm).

Will there be refreshments available?

A light lunch will be provided and there is a café if you wish to purchase extra food or drinks.
