Who’s hungry for the Fish and Chips 10p?

Yasmin and I went out for a lunchtime treat to Harlee’s Fish and Chip shop in Dorset and ended up with a real treasure in our change!

To celebrate #nationalfishandchipsday The Royal Mint have teamed up with the top 20 British chip shops to distribute the fish and chips themed 10ps in their tills – what better excuse for a Friday takeaway?!

We were lucky enough to find a 10p in our change, but have you had any luck finding one for yourself?

Here’s a map of the 20 shops who are currently distributing the 10ps, but remember if you haven’t found one for yourself you can always enter our Facebook competition to win the coin for you and a friend.

Happy #nationalfishandchipday!

Not exactly evenly distributed around the UK. No shops anywhere near London or the home counties, and we have several fantastic fish and Chip shops local to us.

Hi Tim, I’m not sure what the criteria was for The Royal Mint’s choice of the top 20 fish and chips shops, but it is a shame that there wasn’t one near you. Have you had any luck finding any of the other 10ps?

Still have not found 1 in my change !! Where are they all ?
Think i am going to give up coin collecting…its not the fun it used to be. Didnt manage to find any of the 2017 Potter coins, nor 2017 £2.00 either.
Are you sure some where circulated.

Hi Jackie, they are proving very tricky to find indeed! These coins are in circulation, as are the 2017 Beatrix Potter coins, however because they are so sought after it seems that many people are keeping their eyes peeled for them and holding onto the ones they find.
