Change Checker Live Coin Bingo!

It’s time to dust off your dabbers because LIVE Coin Bingo is back!

You don’t need to be a bingo buff to get involved, all you need is your 50p collection to hand, our helpful key and your Change Checker bingo sheet.

To get involved just follow these simple steps:

  • Gather your 50p collection so that your coins are to hand!
  • Head to our Youtube channel Thursday 19th November, at 12.15 pm and tune in to our LIVE Coin Bingo video.
  • When a number is called, check your Bingo Key to see which 50p it corresponds to. If you’ve got this 50p in your collection, place it on your scorecard!
  • If you manage to fill all 9 squares with the 50p coins that are called out, take a photo of your completed Bingo Scorecard and email [email protected]

The first person to get ‘BINGO’ and email in, will be winning a Change Checker Album and a set of THREE Trading Cards!

There will also be two runner up prizes of three Trading Cards for the two next complete scorecard owners!

So, start gathering your 50ps, print off your Bingo kit, and tune back in to our Youtube channel, Thursday 19th November, at 12.15pm.

We can’t wait to see you there!

If you’re interested in coin collecting, our Change Checker web app is completely free to use and allows users to:

I think that this is a great idea, and I think once it is on other platforms apart from Facebook, it could really catch on! My only suggestion would be for gold prize, maybe throw in a real coin to inspire people more? But, so far, really great!

    • Alexandra Siddons on June 19, 2020 at 3:42 pm

      Hi Bill,

That’s a great suggestion! Thanks so much.

We’re happy to accept video entries for each event via email at [email protected] so if you want to take part, you certainly can!

      Thanks,
      Alex

As your king, I royally command you to let my comment be published! This is it:

‘what if we don’t have rubbish terrible Facebook which is bilge?’

    • Alexandra Siddons on June 19, 2020 at 3:45 pm

      Hi there,

Whilst this is the very first event of it’s kind, we put this out to our Change Checker Community who said they would be interested in the Facebook Live Bingo Event. Depending on the success of this first event, we will of course run future ones on different platforms for more people to get involved with 🙂

      Thanks,
      Alex

Hi, Is their any other way of getting the print outs to play. I don’t have a printer & library is still closed. ?
    Thank you ?

    • Alexandra Siddons on June 19, 2020 at 3:29 pm

      Hi Suzy,

Not to worry, the bingo scorecard isn’t essential, it was just a helpful tool! You can just draw one out on a piece of paper and then have your Bingo Key open on your PC 🙂

      Thanks,
      Alex

Hi, I’ve been looking at the sheet for this, could you please tell me if it matters which version of certain coins is used? For example number 1 is Britannia of which there is pre-1997, post 1997, 2019 re-issue and 20th anniversary of the 50p coin edition.
Similarly there is the re-issue of Kew Gardens and a few others. Do the re-issues count or is it just the original release?
Also, does it matter the obverse of the coin? For example both the Britannia and the Shield have different obverses.

      • Alexandra Siddons on June 23, 2020 at 12:28 pm

        Hi Caroline,
Definitive coins haven’t been split into years, so you can use any Britannia or Shield. We’ve only included circulation coins on the key, so the BU re-issued versions of the coins won’t count, e.g. coins like your 2019 Kew Gardens, Scouts, D-Day Landings, and 2019 Britannia, etc.
        Thanks,
        Alex

If you were to stream it on multiple platforms at one time that could mean that more people could get involved.
Also, do we need to own the coin to check it off of our list?

    • Alexandra Siddons on June 19, 2020 at 3:32 pm

      Hi Harry,

We’re already thinking about how we can run this event on multiple platforms next time, so providing this event goes well, we will be doing another.

As for the coins, you will need to own the coin, to place it on your bingo scorecard for it to count, yes.

      Thanks,
      Alex

  6. Shaun Cosgrove on June 18, 2020 at 8:22 am

What if I am not on Facebook?

    • Alexandra Siddons on June 18, 2020 at 8:58 am

      Hi Shaun,
Unfortunately, this is a Facebook only event this time. As this is our first event, we wanted to see how many people would be interested and would get involved. If it proves popular enough, we will look at running a live bingo event on a different platform, so that more people can get involved.
      Thanks,
      Alex

      • Steve Zebedee on June 18, 2020 at 6:30 pm

Hi, great idea but I’m not on Facebook either and have no access to a printer at home so look forward to next one using more familiar tech, Steve

      • Alexandra Siddons on June 19, 2020 at 3:31 pm

        Hi Steve,

Apologies that you won’t be able to take part this time. We’ve already had a think about what we can do next time to make it more accessible for others, providing this event proves successful! Hopefully see you for that one 🙂

        Best regards,
        Alex

    • Caroline Paterson on June 24, 2020 at 12:28 pm

Bingo was good fun, please do it again. Can I suggest next time, if we’re not able to post photos to the comments that the first person posting Full House or Bingo in the comments wins subject to confirmation of photo by email as email can have a time lag.

      • Alexandra Siddons on June 25, 2020 at 3:37 pm

        Hi Caroline,

Thank you so much for taking part! It’s been great to hear so many people requesting we do it again!

We appreciate your feedback and as we are considering a second event, we will definitely take this on board.

        Thanks 🙂
        Alex

  7. Jo Roberts on June 17, 2020 at 4:50 pm

Is this just circulating 50ps or can we count BU because I have quite a collection of those 🙂

    • Alexandra Siddons on June 18, 2020 at 8:57 am

      Hi Jo,

If you have a BU version of a circulating coin, you can count this 🙂

      Thanks,
      Alex

  8. Duncan on June 17, 2020 at 4:11 pm

I wish you would do these things on email so all can take part not all of us have rubbish face book.

    • Alexandra Siddons on June 18, 2020 at 8:56 am

      Hi Duncan,
We appreciate some people may not have Facebook, so this time won’t be able to take part. However, as this is our first live bingo event, we will explore options for doing this in a different way next time, providing it’s popular enough, so that more people can get involved!
      Thanks,
      Alex
